A Fly-Fishing Tournament With a Purpose
Our Mission
Simply put: we are just a group of people who care about our home river and want take care of it to the best of our ability. Growing up and learning to fly-fish on the Truckee river is a bittersweet blessing. The beauty of this river is met with an equal level of difficulty. Scenery and wild trout that both humble and astonish you. The Nevada side of the Truckee River is both beautiful and slightly depressing. It tails out Downtown Reno and unfortunately receives more than it’s fair amount of garbage added from the city.
Our Goal is to create another motivated community to clean and maintain the Truckee River watershed. We know that a lot of local anglers already are and have been great stewards to the river. We are hoping to bring everyone together for a lasting and effective community built around this gem of a fishery.
What We’ve Achieved (So far)
Four annual events
Over 500 volunteers have participated
Multiple 30 yard dumpsters of trash removed from the river.
Thousands of dollars raised for environmental conservation efforts on the Truckee River
